Lakers win Western Conference Finals
The Lakers have finally won the Western Conference Finals, ending the era of dominance that Spurs had over the last few years. It feels great to see Kobe Bryant emerging into a team player, and his entering into his prime.
Kobe Bryant is really someone to look up to. You see his work ethic, you see his attitude, you see his resolve to win for the team. Even when his pinky is whacked, you can see him continue to play at a high level, and no matter how injured he is, I think his basketball skills and determination cannot be stopped.

PPS Open House
Yesterday was PPS Open House and I thought that I was supposed to meet the rest at 8am. So I went there and waited for like 10 minutes but nobody came. Later I knew that they changed the time to 8.30am, but then it was alright, I went home to take my slippers and put my basketball shoes in my bag. I was wearing my normal basketball outfit, so when I went in PPS I was damn embarrassed because my attire sucks. Should have worn something much more nicer.
So I was like just walking around for a few minutes before I went back to the basketball court. JK and his friend was at the basketball court, so I sat down watching them. Nice to watch them, because they play at a different level and there's a lot to learn.
I sat watching them for a long time before the rest came. I changed my shoes and started playing. Meanwhile JK was teaching me how to do a tear drop and he corrected my drive. So I know how to do a tear drop now. Yeah. Hahas. Going to improve on my tear drop as much as possible during the holidays. After some time spent balling, we went to Hougang Mall.
At Hougang Mall, we initially wanted to go to Long John Silver to have our lunch, but that place was packed. We have no choice but to go to MacDonald, which I don't really like. So I had a McFlurry because I wasn't really hungry.
We finished our lunch and we went to shop a bit at Hougang Mall. After a while we went to the CC's basketball court to ball, but it was really hot and the court sucks like shit. So at like 2+pm Ervin went off, left me and some other people. We played some stuff and it started raining, so we went inside and bought some drinks. We went to Hougang Mall again and looked around, so after some time we went home.

Inspired
After so many negative comments on my basketball skills for such a long time, I have finally walked out of that dark period. After 20 minutes of talking with that Republic Poly guy, I have understood how I should play and all the misconceptions that have been thrown into my mind so far.
Now I am insanely downloading all those mixtapes from Youtube and watching them on my Ipod.

Negative comments
Have been receiving lots of negative comments lately on my skill of basketball. Saying I have no talent. Saying I should stop playing and go home. Yeah, right. If I listen to them I might as well as die. First of all they are making assumptions of me as they rarely watch me play and they do not watch basketball themselves, so what do they understand about basketball?
Do they know the proper techniques of shooting and passing? All they notice is the number of points scored in the game, but they never notice how a player shoots, what other stats did the player has.
Let me use myself as an example. I'm not a shooter, so I'm the one passing the ball and racking up the number of assists. What I have in my class is a guy who shoots, but his shooting technique is all messed up and he cannot shoot when we are playing proper defense.
I am a true team player, I am never selfish with the ball. I will pass the ball to those who are not as good as me, and give them encouragements when they need them. But what about the other guy? Nothing. All he can do is scold his team mates, and take shots all the time. Of course his FG % is higher than me.
What I want to say is I will keep playing, I will make the school team.

Super good weather
Today's weather was super good. I mean, it wasn't hot, there was practically no sun, and 12 noon was like 9 in the morning. Playing basketball was very relaxing because there is no sun shining down on you. I guess it is because it seemed as though it was going to rain in the morning, which it did rain earlier if I'm not wrong. Another bad shooting day for me, because playing on 2 consecutive days is not easy.
Played till like 1 in the afternoon, because I didn't know what time it was. So anyway holidays are arriving in a few weeks. I will start practicing all my lay ups during the holidays. Have to work hard towards my goal of getting into the basketball team.
