Yesterday went to Pasir Ris to play with Ervin, Ye An, Wilson, Leonard, Kenny and Wei Hao. when we reach Pasir Ris it is like still damn early, but then the rest want to go eat lunch already. So we went to MacDonald's to have our lunch. On our way to MacDonald Wei Hao notice Keely and another guy passing by the ice cream shop's cow. I was like damn surprised then I say the guy is Javin. After that we continue walking towards MacDonald. I had my breakfast quite late so I just ask Ye An to help me buy a cup of Ice Milo so I eat some of the others' French Fries. Thanks for the free food.
After having our lunch we decide to go and cycle. We spent a lot of time cycling and looking for the route to all the HDB flats. I keep lagging behind but actually never really made any effort to catch up because I wait for people behind when they want to adjust something or something like that. We go visit the bird-watching tower that is rumored to have ghost there.
Initially we saw water dropping down from the top and thought is a ghost at the top. We wanted to go up there but in the end chicken out. The only exception is Ye An, who decided to go and check. We keep asking Ye An to come down but Leonard keep asking Ye An to continue climbing up the stairs. Only thing is Leonard never climb up himself. I think Leonard don't dare to. Lols.
After cycling we decided to go to the pick up toy thingy. Leonard was wearing his PE attire but the store person never notice until towards the end. Leonard and Wilson damn stupid, keep trying the machines but it is futile because it is so damn bloody hard. Wei Hao said that Leonard and Wilson keep making him laugh until damn high. Wilson later decided to try the sweet machine. He got jackpot but he spent a lot of money and only got a few sweets and a soft toy that will be pretty useless.
We decided to go to the arcade but apparently the electricity got something wrong and the whole place was damn bloody dark and stuffy. After waiting for sometime, we went to cycles again. The sky was already quite dark but we still continued to ride until it started raining quite heavily. All of us was wet but it was damn nice. Kenny was like damn irritating during the cycling trip because he keep knocking Ervin and Wei Hao. When we were like going to return our bicycles Ervin and Kenny both fell down. Damn Kenny.
I was like hungry at that time so we went to the food court to have our tea break. Ye An and I ate carrot cake, but Ye An's white carrot cake amount was pitiful when compared to mine. We said the uncle was racist. I offered to treat them to a round at the arcade. Then we keep chatting about our primary school life. Then we saw Keely and Javin again. This time I saw that they were both wearing Superman shirt. Wei Hao saw Keely touch Javin's butt then he keep repeating it.
We went to the arcade to play Mario's cart. Quite nice lahs. After that we take 88 to go home but on the way back we decide to go Compass Point. Then we miss the bus stop then go Hougang Mall. Ervin went to the Blues to make a set of rings for his girlfriend's birthday today. The shopkeeper recognise Leonard's PE attire. Then after that go home.

So sad, now cannot watch NBA games already. So sad. Now is probably Denver Nuggets duo Carmelo Anthony and Allen Iverson VS Houston Rockets duo Tracy McGrady and Yao Ming, whom all of us know. I guess Yao Ming's popularity is because he is an Asian and he is doing quite well in the NBA right now, which is no easy feat considering all the talent there.
But now I support Miami Heat with Dwayne Wade and Shaq. Shaq's full name is too long to spell, so I shan't write it out. However, Miami Heat is having a very bad start right now. But I will still support them. If Dwayne Wade and Shaq can somewhat find the old momentum, I believe that they still have a chance of going to the playoffs.
Right now Boston Celtics are still number 1, with only one loss. Quite pro, these guys.

So happy today is Saturday. Saturday night is always full of laughter because got Jacky's show. Now waiting eagerly for 9.30pm to come. Kelly Poon got go Jacky's 周日八点党, but dunno when will it be screened.
Today I broke my own record for waking up late during the holidays. I woke up at 11am, which is really late for me. If I continue like this means I will keep sleeping till later and later, then when school starts, I have no energy to kick my classmates' ass in basketball. An inter-class tournament is set at the start of school. I wonder how much I will improve, if I can increase my driving speed, then when I do 100% under basket, I should be quite good already.
Of course I'm not settling for quite good. I'm going to keep improving, working on my game, to make it better. Not only better for myself, but also to help anyone out there in terms of gameplay. I'm not a solo kia, I'm aiming to be a PG, which means I am someone who passes the ball around and set up plays, but willing to take up the scoring job when teammates are not playing as well.

Hais, supposed to play bball today. But Wei Hao change his mind, then Ye An also. Can't really blame them, because Ye An says someone from their block committed suicide, somemore in front of Wei Hao's house. Dunno whether to believe it or not. I mean it is quite hard to believe.
Never mind, if what Ye An said is true then I shall extend my deepest condolences to those related to the dead person. Hope Wei Hao and Ye An can walk out of that shadow soon enough. It isn't easy having to face the presence of a dead person, especially if he/she is dead due to unnatural means. The fear and tricks that our mind may play on us is frightening.

Played basketball with Ervin, Wei Hao, Ye An, Edrick, Zheng Yi, Zheng Yi's brother and the Sec 4 Xinmin volleyball guy.
Arrived at the court at about 10 plus. Ervin and Wei Hao already there, playing dunno what. So I join them then realize that I cannot shoot today. My aim was terrible. Today was my off day. Even I cannot shoot under basket. Under basket is one of the fundamentals of basketball. Which is really bad.
After a while Ervin and Wei Hao go buy drinks. Me and Ye An practised under baskets. I slowly got into the rhythm but my shooting posture was wrong because I shot with 2 hands, rather then 1 shooting hand and 1 supporting hand. Some time along when I was practising, the soccer guys started streaming in. Luckily there was only 2 of them at first. Ervin suggested that we played full court, but it was a stupid idea, because I simply do not have the physical ability to sprint on fast breaks or last through the match.
So we went back to half-court. It was better, but also a bit siian cos Ervin is too pro le. Cannot catch up with him.
After that Sec 4 guy come in. He can touch the bloody backboard =(. Me Ervin Wei Hao Ye An one team. The rest the other team. Started playing. Not sure who won, but it was a good game. Got a few steals but they immediately led to a turnover. Tall tall guy blocked a couple of times. The block sound damn nice to hear, except is our own shot kana blocked. Halfway through the match me and Ye An started talking about 我猜。Then I started imitating Jacky in saying all those bios. Then I go say ???, ???cm, ???kg, ???person. Then I go say 被家长误为不良少女. Then Ye An hear then say I not 不良少女. Lols.
After the match the stupid soccer guys started playing again. Ervin and his senior played against each other. Ervin lost, but actually he played not bad already.
After that go home loh.

I haven't play basketball for like 4 days. This morning and Monday's morning I was originally planning to play basketball, but when I wake up it is like already 10+ or 9+ already, so don't really feel like playing basketball. Another reason is I guess last week I played too much basketball, so now is very tired mentally.
Anyway, when I finally get down to playing basketball again someday, this is the training sheet I plan to complete.
30 under basket(left)
30 under basket(right)
30 lay-ups(left-drive with right hand)
30 lay-ups(right-drive with left hand)
60 shots from both sides of A
60 shots from both sides of B
30 shots inside the paint
15 finger rolls(using left hand)
15 finger rolls(using right hand)
That makes a total of 300 shots. Wonder if my hand got enough strength to keep shooting.
For ball handling I will probably run rounds while dribbling with both hands, followed by basic crossovers, between the legs and finally behind the back. I may also want to add in some spin moves. My spin move is very weak now. Can't even do it properly now. Of course I also have to do the scissors drill- the thing you keep doing between the leg crossover.
Later I still have to go pump the ball for tomorrow's use. Hope can play basketball tomorrow.

Hahas, thanks Ye An for notifying about the TV schedule. Anyway there's not much point in bringing your own ball unless you don't like the bad grip of my basketball because what's gone will never come back again.
All we can do is just savor the memories of the past. So we should also appreciate every moment in our life and not just take it for granted. When we sense an opportunity, we should hold on tightly to it and not just let it slip past our fingers to only greatly regret that decision. By now, we can only think what would have happened, not what have happened.
Ok, philosophy and moral issue lesson over. After visiting Peter's blog, it is quite funny. I never thought that he would write those posts on his blog. Inspired bu him, I decided to write a post similar to his articles.
Topic of today will be capitalism. Capitalism is a topic fiercely argued by philosophers in the ?? century. One philosopher has stated that capitalism is unavoidable, no matter how hard we try. In order to bypass capitalism, Karl Marx has thought a new idea, an idea that would be revolutionary, that is communism.
Communism works on the concept that all people will be treated equally, in the sense that no one will own something more than another person. However, this idea quickly collapsed due to the fact that humans, being greedy and competitive by nature, will not accept the idea that no matter how hard they work, they will not rise above other people.
Capitalism, on the other hand, works on the concept that every human is greedy. This idea works greatly and steadily till now, but there is a major problem with it. The rich will get richer and the poorer will get poorer except for some exceptions. The rich will never understand the poor's situation. This can be observed in my school.
The people there have everything they want. We do not have.
I decide to come to this conclusion that there is no point in trying to change the situation in the world. We should accept it and move on.

Today got a rain really heavy, then keep having lightning and thunder. Quite scary at the beginning cos when the lightning strikes the whole place damn bright. Initially I sleeping then when I woke up at around 4pm got the rain. Initially quite small then suddenly become very heavy.
My mother who is slicing papaya says it is damn scary cos at that time she standing in the kitchen so can see the rain and lightning and all the bloody thing.
The only good thing is after the rain the air damn nice to breathe. After than that nothing much because the ground will be damn wet.
At 4.30pm the rain become smaller then looked like it was going to stop. But then suddenly the rain and thunder and stuff started coming again. At 5pm after the rain become very small then I dare on my TV and play my ps2.
Started playing Burnout 4: Revenge. Up my rank liiaos. Now become a rank something like Demolisher. Still got 1 more rank to advance before I reach Elite, the highest ranking of the whole game. Some race events I keep leading until towards the end then I crash then I become last. Damn sad lors, cos I got an awesome rating but zero medal so cannot upgrade my rating. Still got a lot of stars to go through before I can finally become Elite. I wish I can faster unlock White Mountain cos it is my favourite map. There are a lot of places to drift there. Drifting is my favourite. But now long time never play then I scared my drifting skills not so good already.

Last night stay up until 1pm to watch 我猜我猜我猜猜猜. At 9.30pm watch 周日八点党 first, then at 11pm turn off TV cos it is news time. Not much interest in news, except Channel U every time will report NBA de news, so I will turn on the TV towards the end.
周日八点党 damn funny, the dog show change le. Now not the dog just sit there, now the dog must keep moving wors. Some dog damn funny, they keep running off the track. I think they change the stage cos it is now harder for the people to train their dogs at home cos the stage so damn bloody big.
Then the search clues part quite funny lahs. Kang Kang quite useless on his own. When he team up with NoNo he quite good but dunno why that day he sucks like siiao. Almost all is Makiyo help him de. Then all Kang Kang do is crack lame jokes.
11pm got the S-pop thingy. Every time the question damn easy lors. Should ask a question like which lyric is which singer de. Like this more challenging.
Then got Channel U 11pm news. I off the TV then go brush my teeth. After that keep listening to songs until 11.30pm.
Yeah 11.30pm got 我猜我猜我猜猜猜. 星光帮 were the guest for that show. They never really ask a lot of questions lors. They mostly just sing and ask lame jokes. The questions they ask are mostly useless. The second part quite nice. 5 girls are chosen, then 4 of them are 13-15 years old, then 1 actually is 20 years old. They all look damn mature, except the way they talk can tell their age. Some of them the way they talk still damn childish like, so very easy to guess.
Got one girl look damn pai kia. My mother say she not as beautiful as the rest but when they show the picture on the ID she actually look better then the rest because they never put on any make-up.
Aiyas, after the show sleep liiaos cos today morning I still have to catch a NBA game that is played by my favourite team, Denver Nuggets. Woke up at 9.20am today. Read the newspaper then when it is 10am I on my computer to watch the game. Now I am still watching. Nuggets will most likely win given their lead.

Siian, now my crossovers is not bad already but my driving still sucks. If I can improve my driving I think I will play much better, instead of dribbling then running then turning back my head to see where the ball flew to. I think my driving style will be similar to Dwayne Wade, because I dribble the ball high high de. I wish I got Iverson's speed, but his and my playing style is different, so will be very difficult for me to play.

Now I'm going to compare NBA's basketball. I originally wanted to have Rucker Park's basketball too, but now internet got a bit of problem, so cannot obtain the picture.



This is the basketball NBA uses. Spalding's official website states that this leather is equipped with foaming to enhance the ball handling. It also says it has deep channel design, which means the black lines are deeper. Dunno whether it really helps or not. Hahas.
Hope it won't be too expensive, but sadly right now I don't have enough money. Have to buy CD albums and wallet.

Now a bit tired after playing basketball for so many days in a row. Friday play bball then keep using my ball and it looked damn old now. Last time it was still pretty new looking, with only a few orange patches. But now the whole thing is almost orange le. Hais, damn sad.
This picture on the left is last time when I just bought the ball. Looks damn nice at first. But as I played basketball using this ball more and more times, the brown peeling slowly off slowly. Not really peeling, more like it got rubbed off due to the contact when dribbling, rebounding and rubbing against the backboard.
But looking at this picture really makes me feel damn sad, because this ball cost $4X and I haven't even bought it for one year, but now it looks like a 5 year old ball. Next time buy ball must buy Spalding's.
The picture on the right is a photo that I just recently took. You see now the thing almost orange, then the grip is terrible, despite having the words Cage Grip still on the ball. When shooting or rebounding it is easy to lose control of the ball. See the stack of books beside the basketball? They are books I have to read because my English is too lousy and need to improve. In my school even China people beat me. No choice lahs. Refer to my old posts to see my exams results.

Yesterday night I was looking through basketball shoes of various brands like Reebok, Converse and Nike. The shoes were so well designed so so cool... Although I also have my own basketball shoes they also not as nice in terms of design. What caught my eye is the shoes that Dwayne Wade endorsed. It is so damn bloody nice. The colours are my favourite, a mixture of black and red.
Then Nike's Kobe de brand also not bad, the colours are Lakers' colours. The design all damn nice. Hais, so envious.

Just watched Denver's game against the pacers. Feel so happy for them because they came back from a very hard game to lead in the end. I didn't watch the first three quarters because I was still sleeping, but I caught up in the last quarter. Iverson really played hard, and he made a significant contribution by having a double-double in terms of assist and points.
Marcus Camby also played well, having another double- double in terms of rebounds and points.
I hope Denver can go all the way to playoffs this year, but considering the tough competition form teams who also have great players, I doubt they will make it to the finals. The very presence of Boston Celtics is something to worry about. With their pirated "Big Three", they have an unbeaten record so far. Their game against Nets was quite challenging, but Nets never really had a chance against this dominant team.
If all goes well, Celtics will be the champion for this season.

So damn siian, long time never play bball already. I was originally planning to play on Friday, but got stupid people playing soccer at the basketball court. I think Singaporeans prefer street soccer to soccer on the field, so I don't know why the town council decided to build a real field, and in the end it ended up for those who had archery lessons.
I think those people also a bit guo fen, cos bball court is for bballers de. Even if no people they also shouldn't use it, cos others who want to use it will change their mind when they saw someone playing soccer there. The town council should convert the field to street soccer court, so those stupid soccer players will not fight with bballers there.
Next week is class gathering. I think it is pretty lame, go so far then when reach there also dunno do what. Should think of something more original next time.

Sorry for not posting in such a long time. Lately I have been watching NBA games and I don't have the time to update my blog.
NBA has started a new season, so it is pretty interesting to watch all the changes to the teams after a few months of rest. Boston Celtics is pretty good. They got 3 all-stars, and they thrashed Denver this morning.
